Harrison
Grew up in Garland and has played guitar since he was 7....cut his teeth in bands such as the Nomads of
Garland's Bussey Jr. High and the Barking Spyders....ran sound and lights at the Fairmont Hotel's noted
Venetian Room, where John Gary, Ed Ames, Frank Gorshin, John Davidson, Sonny & Cher, Roger Miller,
Eartha Kitt, the Supremes, and many more held forth....he says, "Those old school artists were very jaded
and demanding of a young Garland Owl and I had to get it together fast"....went on the road with the
Bellamy Brothers just as "Let Your Love Flow' was going certified gold, touring the Euro world with
them....returned to Dallas and backed up the Coasters, Sam the Sham, and Bo Diddley-"all in a gig's work
for the perennial sideman"....then came his Texas singer-songwriter phase, which brought him under the
watchful eye of Tommy Alverson, Gary P. Nunn, Larry Joe Taylor, Ed Burleson, and Cory Morrow....original
member of the Neon Glowboys and Blondy.
